Namaste`

We firmly believe that loss of life is irreparable damage to victim’s family and country. Unfortunately, as per the National Crime Record Bureau’s “Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India -2018 Annual Report” total 13,099 fire cases reported during year 2018 causing 12,748 deaths. Approx. 35 lives lost per day in year 2018 i.e. more than one life per hour! For us being fire safety professional, this is very disturbing and challenging situation to overcome. We do not have to lose our loved ones to understand the pain of victim families, all we need to give required attention to fire safety in our daily lives. Increased number of fatal fire incidents has triggered us to think about current status of fire safety system and its adverse impact on citizens and resources of our country.

We have learnt that until or unless professionals and public at large does not made aware about fire safety norms and follow in daily lives, the number of fire incidents and life loss will keep on occurring. Firepedia is focused on spread of fire safety awareness related to fire safety codes, standards, acts, bye-laws and good practices beyond any geographical or demographical boundary. We know, this is a big aim but as rightly penned by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (11th President of our country)

“As a young citizen of India, armed with technology, knowledge and love for my nation, I realize, small aim is a crime. I will work and sweat for a great vision, the vision of transforming India into a developed nation.”
From Song of Youth by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
